Major and minor incidents in Greystones

The following two pieces describe contrasting instances of disorder in Greystones, the first the killing of a farmer’s wife by a neighbour and its aftermath (page 87), the second and much less serious incident, an altercation between carmen at Greystones Station (page 91). It seems likely, coincidentally, that the Richard and Christopher Gorman who appeared in the second case were related to Richard Gorman, whose wife, Winifred, was the victim of unlawful killing some years before.
