Daytime storm in Greystones

The photographs which follow below were taken by C Douglas Lamb (born 1919). During his life he spent time in Carrick Eden, Greystones when it was run by Christian Endeavour. The photographs were taken during one of these periods. Douglas died in 2003 and is buried in the Friends Burial Ground, Temple Hill, Blackrock.

It is not obvious in which year the photographs of the storm were taken. If the Kish Lighthouse base is present then they are post 1968, otherwise they were shot prior to 1968. However this is not clear from the photographs. Views are welcome. Either way the pictures are a unique capturing of the event. The Society thanks Charles Lamb, Douglas's brother, for providing them to us. Click on an image to enlarge it.
