'Speaking of Greystones 2013'

Greystones Archaeological & Historical Society's Celebration of Culture Night 2013

 To participate in Culture Night 2013, the Society presented a programme of readings encapsulating varied aspects of the area's past. Topics covered included the aftermath of the 1798 Rising, Greystones's maritime heritage, famous residents of and visitors to Greystones over the years, and instances of crime and disorder. The  event also included the launch by archaeologist and author Chris Corlett of the Society's 25th anniversary journal (see home page for details), The setting for all of this was Leo Ireton’s Greystones shop.
